Tattoo Faqs
Does it hurt?
Yes, sometimes. It depends on where the tattoo or piercing is on your body, and it depends on your personal pain tolerance. It also depends on the mood you are in at the time of the tattoo or piercing (i.e., are you relaxed and focused on your breathing, or are you wound up and scared?). Ultimately, this is a question only you will be able to answer. In general, a tattoo feels about like a cat scratch or mild sunburn. Most piercings just a quick pinch.
How much does a tattoo or piercing cost?
Cost of tattoo varies from place to plane and time to time. It is also largely depend upon the tattoo parlor and the tattoo artist. Price of the tattoo also depends on quality of tattoo.
How many times do you use your needles ?
Once and only ONCE. Not only is there a sterilization concern when it comes to cleaning the inside of the hollow piercing needle, but also the needle itself (both piercing and tattoo) dulls noticeably when it is used even once. Therefore, in the interests of everyone involved, we use needles once and then we dispose of them in an appropriate sharps containers.
How long does it take to heal?
As for all things, this differs from person to person, and is directly effected by proper aftercare. For detailed piercing healing times, please scroll down below. For tattoos, the tattoo appears healed within a week to 10 days, but may take up to a month to heal completely.
How should I prepare for my tattoo or piercing?
Eat. Do not come in with an empty stomach as this can contribute to your becoming light headed. Don't stuff yourself to the point of nausea, of course, but have a little something in your stomach. Do not drink any alcohol or take any drugs 24 hours prior to your appointment. As far as drugs go, do not come in under the influence of anything illegal or anything that could inhibit your decision-making skills.
