As the feet are most of the times in the shoe, it is a very good place for the bacteria to breed. The bacterial and fungal infection can cause peeling, itching, blisters, redness and dry skin. Dry Skin: Dry skin may cause burning or itching feet. You can use a mild soap and a good moisturizer lotion or cream on the feet and ankles on a daily basis. Take due care if you add oil to the bath water as the bathing area may get slippery.
Warts or foot lump: warts or foot lumps are caused by viruses. At times they may be painful and if not treated adequately they might spread. The wart may be treated by applying medicines, burning and freezing.
Ingrown Toenails: It is condition wherein the nail grows in the skin. Ingrown toe nail occurs hen the toe nail is not properly cut. The condition of ingrown toe nail is common in case here the toe is big in size. Ingrown toe nail can be avoided by cutting the nail straight across.
Spurs: It is a condition in which the calcium grows on the bones of the feet. The reason for spurs is strain in the muscle. Some of the reasons for spurs could be standing for a long period, wearing ill fitted shoes and at times even being overweight can cause spurs. Burning Feet: It is a common condition in many groups of people. The condition is more common among older people.
Diabetes: People suffering from diabetes should take extra care of their feet. In case the sugar levels go out of control there are chances of lesions and plantar. The diabetic people are more averse to suffer from foot ulcer. Due care should be taken else there are chances of losing the limb. People suffering from foot ulcers should consult their family doctor, orthopedist, vascular surgeon or podiatrist.
